Culinary Server

Buckner Retirement Services Community: Parkway Place Location: Houston, TX - Onsite Address: 1321 Park Bayou Dr, Houston, TX 77077 Job Schedule: Part-time We are seeking a Culinary Server to join our community committed to delivering outstanding services. As a Culinary Server, you will play an important role in all phases of service that meets or exceeds Buckner quality, service, and hospitality standards. Join our team and inspire happiness in the lives of others! What you'll do: Set tables; bus tables, wash off tables after meals. Responsible for preparing beverages and food as required. Serve food in dining rooms or other areas as required. Serve beverages to residents as required. Blend food in electric blender; prepare steam table. Prepare hot carts and serve food; clean and sanitize carts. Wash dishes; scrape and rack dishes; sort, stack, store clean dishes. Mop, sweep, and clean work area. Take out trash. Wrap silverware. What you'll bring: Requires ability to read, write and understand business documents written in English. Age 21 with a valid driver's license and clean driving record for insurance and meal transportation within the campus. Requires the ability to communicate verbally with residents, families, visitors and co‑workers; clearly understood by others. Requires ability to understand and follow basic written and oral step‑by‑step instructions. Requires ability to move food serving and preparation equipment as needed, using up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, or 20 pounds frequently, or 10 pounds continuously. Work involves objects, equipment, and/or machines within arm’s reach; depth perception and field of vision are important. Requires ability to turn, stoop, kneel, crouch, reach, push, pull, handle, stand, walk for at least 75% of the shift. Requires ability to safely utilize kitchen equipment and recognize sounds indicating operational or safety issues. Requires ability to work under close supervision performing routine, standardized tasks. Requires ability to perform tasks with due consideration for residents in vicinity and cooperate with other employees.
