SLP - Speech Language Pathologist

Position Overview Department: Acute Rehab Services Schedule: 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM (Required to work a minimum of two (2) days per month, one (1) weekend shift every 4–6 weeks, and one (1) holiday shift)- PRN Work Location: UAB St. Vincent's Birmingham Benefits for eligible positions only include: generous paid time off, paid parental leave, Associate Assistance Program, Tuition Reimbursement Program, and more What You Will Do Evaluate and treat patients requiring speech-language therapy. Perform therapy interventions utilizing standard therapy techniques and skills as appropriate for the condition of the patient. Educate and counsel patient and family regarding treatment plans. Maintain clinical records and follow performance improvement recommendations. Plan and/or assist with patient discharge from speech therapy services. Provide information regarding appropriate support programs. What You Will Need Licensure / Certification / Registration: Currently licensed or eligible to be licensed as a Speech‑Language Pathologist/Audiologist according to the rules and regulations of the Alabama State Board of Speech Language Pathology required.
