Advanced Practice Provider - Pre-admission Testing Center

Position Details Schedule: Flexible 8‑hour days No weekends, no call, no holidays NP must independently manage complex pre‑op assessments, including chart reviews, ordering labs, EKGs and clearances. Strongly preferred: Cardiac background Preferred: Background in surgery and some cardiac knowledge, EKGs. Great opportunity for work‑life balance. Responsibilities Manages the health care of select patient populations through advanced health assessment, diagnosis, intervention, and evaluation. Participates in professional development. Assesses development needs of staff and develops and delivers appropriate educational programs to meet staff needs. Coordinates the care of select patient populations to ensure promotion of health and wellness through education of patients and families, coordination of services and placing referrals. Develops treatment plans and treats patients with acute problems following a predetermined protocol. Minimum Requirements Education: Master’s Degree in Nursing from an accredited NP program. Experience: None required; Nursing experience preferred. Licenses & Certifications: Nurse Practitioner, RN. Preferred Requirements Education: Doctorate in Nursing. Experience: 2–5 years as an NP.
