The Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced recruiter to join EPM Scientific as a Principal Recruitment Consultant within our Boston office.

This is a senior individual contributor opportunity designed for a top-performing recruiter who wants to continue building a highly successful desk while establishing themselves as a market leader within the Life Sciences space. While there will be opportunities to mentor junior consultants and contribute to team growth, this role is primarily focused on business development, client ownership, and revenue generation .

Role Responsibilities

Business Development & Market Growth

• Build and expand a high-performing Life Sciences recruitment desk.
• Develop new client relationships across biotech, pharmaceutical, medical device, and CRO organizations.
• Manage the full recruitment lifecycle from business development through placement.
• Identify emerging market trends and hiring needs within your specialist vertical.
• Establish yourself as a trusted advisor to clients and candidates within your niche.
• Maintain a high-performing personal billing desk while driving market growth.

Client Ownership

• Drive new business generation through strategic outreach and relationship building.
• Partner with senior hiring leaders on talent acquisition strategies and market intelligence.
• Negotiate commercial agreements and manage key client accounts.
• Deliver exceptional service to create long-term partnerships and repeat business.
• Advise clients on talent trends, compensation benchmarking, and hiring strategies.

Leadership & Mentorship

• Act as a mentor and subject matter expert within the broader EPM Scientific business.
• Share market knowledge and best practices with junior consultants.
• Support team growth, training, and onboarding initiatives where appropriate.
• Contribute to the high-performance culture of the Boston office.

Leadership & Culture

• Partner closely with leadership teams in Boston and across North America.
• Contribute to office-wide initiatives and strategic growth plans.
• Serve as a role model for commercial excellence and professional development.
• Help strengthen EPM Scientific's reputation within the Life Sciences community.

Candidate Profile

• Proven track record as a top-performing recruiter with consistent billing success.
• Experience within Life Sciences recruitment strongly preferred.
• Demonstrated success in business development and account management.
• Strong commercial acumen and entrepreneurial mindset.
• Comfortable operating with high levels of autonomy and accountability.
• Motivated by financial success, career progression, and market ownership.
• Interested in future leadership opportunities while remaining highly active on the production side.
