Job Title Travel RN – Emergency Room (Night Shift) Location Salem, VA | Acute Care Schedule / Job Type Contract | Travel | 13 Weeks | Nights, 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM Key Responsibilities Provide direct patient care in a 27-bed Emergency Department with patient ratios of 4–6:1 Perform and assist with procedures including RSI, sepsis interventions, stroke protocol with tPA administration, and central line placement Manage care of psychiatric patients and coordinate transfers to other facilities in accordance with EMTALA guidelines Document and manage patient information using Meditech EMR Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team including charge nurses, RNs, and medics on night shift Participate in weekend shift rotation (expected four weekend shifts per four-week scheduling period; no on-call required) Required Qualifications Active RN license valid in Virginia (or compact license eligibility) Minimum 2–3 years of Emergency Room experience Must have completed 2–3 prior travel assignments Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, and TNCC Preferred Experience / Skills Experience in high-acuity, fast-paced, high-volume Emergency Departments Comfort working with patient ratios of 5:1 Preferred certifications: ENPC, NRP, NIH Stroke Scale Relaxed, team-oriented, and adaptable personality well-suited to a collaborative department culture Why Join Us Work in a well-staffed Emergency Department with a supportive team environment and no on-call requirements Gain experience with a broad range of high-acuity procedures and protocols in a dynamic clinical setting Concentric Healthcare Staffing Job ID 792123.
