Radiologic Technologist - Computed Tomography Location: Detroit, MI Job Summary Under general supervision, the Radiologic Technologist specializes in performing computerized tomographic procedures. This role may also include general diagnostic radiology examinations and other related duties as required. Essential Functions Explain examination procedures to patients and prepare them for the examination. Review clinical requisition data and perform appropriate examinations, obtaining necessary medical history information. Prepare the procedure room and regularly replenish supplies, including linen. Analyze patient anatomical structures, set up equipment, and perform CT scans. Manually control equipment to ensure accurate diagnostic information is obtained. Administer intravenous contrast media, including the use of power injectors, and monitor patients for reactions, providing immediate care when necessary. Prepare and set up sterile equipment and ensure adequate supplies are on hand and properly stored. Assist the Radiologist in complex sterile diagnostic procedures such as biopsies. Adhere to radiation protection principles, employing shielding and appropriate equipment settings to minimize dose exposure. Resolve image exceptions and ensure high-quality image delivery into the PACS. Complete study indexing in the Radiology Information System (RIS). Review and confirm clinical protocols with the Radiologist prior to examinations. Consistently demonstrate team member standards of excellence, including open communication and a positive attitude. Perform all necessary documentation in medical records and within the radiology information system to support clinical and billing functions. #J-18808-Ljbffr KWZ Solutions
