Join Us as a CNC Machining & Laser Processing Technician

Imagine wrapping up every week with a three‑day weekend. On our Monday–Thursday 4x10 schedule, you’ll tackle meaningful, hands-on work and still have Fridays free. You’ll join a stable, well-established manufacturer committed to safety, teamwork, and your long-term growth—while working on components for cutting-edge industries.

A day in the life

Your shift starts with a review of prints and job travelers. You’ll load and unload parts into CNC mills and lathes, dial in tool and work offsets, and verify features against tight tolerances. Mid-morning, you might switch to the laser cell for precision processing and then over to a Blanchard/rotary surface grinder—manual or CNC—for stock removal and flatness control. Throughout the day, you’ll run in-process inspections using micrometers, calipers, and other hand metrology, documenting quality results and making minor tool changes as needed. Preventive maintenance and a quick huddle with your teammates keep everything running safely and smoothly.

What you’ll handle

• Operating CNC mills and lathes; loading/unloading parts; setting and adjusting tool/work offsets
• Running laser equipment with hands-on training provided
• Operating Blanchard and rotary surface grinders (manual or CNC)
• Reading and interpreting blueprints to verify part features and specifications
• Executing basic tool changes and monitoring tool wear
• Performing in-process quality checks and documenting results
• Conducting routine preventive maintenance and keeping a clean, safe work area
• Working with Haas, Mazak, and Okuma controls

What you bring

• 3+ years of experience operating production machinery in manufacturing
• Ability to read a tape measure and perform accurate basic measurements
• Mechanical aptitude and enthusiasm for learning new equipment
• Strong attention to detail and a quality-first mindset
• Comfort working both independently and with a team in a fast-paced setting
• Preferred: experience with lasers, CNC equipment, or metal processing
• Blueprint reading experience

Tools and tech you’ll use

• CNC Mill (3–4 axis VMC) — Mazak, Haas, Okuma
• CNC Lathe (2–4 axis) — Mazak, Haas, Okuma
• Blanchard/rotary surface grinders (manual and CNC)
• Cylindrical and surface grinding equipment
