Job Opportunity – Medical-Surgical Registered Nurse – West Virginia

Schedule: 3x12 or 4x12 night shifts (weekdays and weekends); unit will accommodate schedule requests when possible

Highlights:

• 34-bed acute medical-surgical unit serving adults with diverse diagnoses and care needs
• Nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:5-7
• 26-week contract with possibility of extension
• Cerner EMR system
• Daily census typically 25-30 patients
• Comprehensive interdisciplinary support including IV teams, respiratory services, physical therapy, pharmacy, and rapid response teams

Requirements:

• Active RN license (West Virginia or Compact state; pending license accepted for submission)
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience required
• Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, and NIH Stroke Scale (must be AHA-certified)
• Experience with Cerner charting system required
• Permanent address must be 100+ miles from facility (75-100 miles considered case-by-case)
• Minimum of 2 manager or charge nurse references from the past 2 years
• Strong attendance record required; facility expects no more than 2-3 call-offs per contract
• Proficiency in medical-surgical skills including wound care, IV management, blood product administration, respiratory support, and post-operative care
