About the Position

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Medical Surgical Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night 4x12-Hour Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum 2 years License: RN License required (WV or Compact License) Certifications: BCLS, ACLS, NIHSS required Must-Have: - 2+ years of experience in Medical Surgical nursing - Experience with patient ratios of 1:5-7 - Familiarity with Cerner charting system Description: The Medical Surgical unit manages acute medical-surgical patients with a wide range of diagnoses and care needs. In this fast-paced and challenging environment, nursing staff are adaptable and well prepared to provide care in often complex situations. The team provides a great balance of experienced and novice staff members. Nursing staff embodies teamwork, compassion, and evidence-based practice to ensure safe and high-quality care for patients. Emphasis on respect and professionalism is a priority while working to provide excellent care to the community. The role requires skills in various aspects of patient care, including IV management, oxygen administration, and tracheostomy care. Candidates should be prepared for a demanding role with a focus on both individual patient needs and team collaboration.
