About the Role Aligned is expanding its team of expert consultants, seeking 10 Private Equity and Venture Capital professionals for immediate part‑time, remote work supporting AI research. This opportunity allows you to supplement your income with well‑paying freelance projects at the world's top AI research and frontier model companies. Projects start at $60–90 USD / hour for newly approved experts, with potential to scale upwards of $150 USD / hour for top performers. Our community comprises the top 10% of experts and freelancers across various domains, including doctors, scientists, engineers, and business professionals. Unlike traditional consulting platforms, Aligned's experts set their own pay and are exclusively matched to top‑paying projects at leading AI research companies. How it Works Apply: Submit your application at Verification: Complete a short application verifying your education and experience. Matching: Once approved, you'll immediately be eligible for paid projects that match your areas of expertise. Payment: Projects are paid hourly and start at $60–90 USD / hour for newly approved experts. Payments are processed bi‑weekly. Minimum Qualifications Native or fluent English speaking ability with confident university‑level writing skills. A minimum of 2–3 years of experience as an Analyst, Associate, or Senior Associate at a private equity firm, venture capital fund, growth equity firm, or other reputable investment firm. Expert‑level proficiency in Excel and financial modeling, including LBO models, DCF analysis, comparable company analysis, and precedent transaction analysis. Extensive experience building investment memos, pitch decks, and presentations that synthesize market research, financial analysis, and investment recommendations. Strong experience conducting market research, competitive analysis, and due diligence across various industries and sectors. Exceptional communication skills with the ability to distill complex financial and strategic information into clear, actionable insights.
