About the Role
The Company is seeking a Senior Vice President of Development to lead its philanthropic efforts and fundraising strategy. This executive role is pivotal in driving the organization's mission to enhance the quality of life for seniors. The successful candidate will be responsible for the vision, design, and execution of major fundraising initiatives, including capital campaigns, and will work to increase charitable giving and donor engagement. Key responsibilities also include managing a planned giving program, fostering relationships with faith-based organizations, and ensuring the Foundation's operations align with the company's philanthropic goals. Applicants for the Senior Vice President of Development position at the company should have a Bachelor's degree and a minimum of 5 years' experience in fundraising, with a preference for those with a background in planned giving. The role requires a candidate with a proven track record of working effectively with faith-based organizations, particularly the Presbyterian Church (USA). Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills are essential, as is the ability to manage a team and oversee the Foundation's budget. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of the legal and tax aspects of planned giving and be adept at building and maintaining relationships with donors, church leaders, and the community. Professional fundraising certification is a plus, and the candidate should be adept at using Microsoft Office and be willing to learn Raiser’s Edge NXT.
