About the Position

Job Title: RN - Med/Surg Profession: RN Specialty: Med Surg Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 19:00 - 07:00 Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum 2 years of acute care hospital experience License: RN License Certifications: BLS preferred Description: TRAVEL - RN - Med/Surg position available. This role is for a Medical Surgical/Surgical Services unit. The unit features 34 beds and has a staff of approximately 50. Patient ratios are approximately 6:1. The type of equipment used on the unit includes traction. The electronic medical record system used is Meditech. Candidates must have a minimum of 1 year of current acute care hospital Med/Surg/Ortho experience. BLS certification is required, and ACLS certification is a plus. Familiarity with traction and knowledge of spine, hip, and joint precautions is preferred. Typical procedures performed on the unit include total joint and spine surgeries. The ideal candidate should be outgoing, a team player, and compassionate. This is a brand new unit, offering an opportunity to work with new equipment and technology.
