The Information Systems Division works in collaboration with programs and county agencies, to provide solutions to systems that assist families access essentials such as, but not limited to, medical services, care providers, groceries, and transportation.


Under the general direction of the Information Supervisor II (ITSII) of the Operation and Management Branch, the Information Technology Associate provides technical support to end users, assists with telecommunications needs, and helps maintain daily IT operations. The role focuses on troubleshooting routine issues, documenting work activity, and ensuring users receive timely and effective assistance with IT equipment, software, and communication devices. This position works cooperatively with vendors, business representatives, specialists, and subject matter experts in conducting daily assigned work.

Working Conditions
This work location is very convenient! This location is two blocks from the light rail and public transportation: within walking distance to the State Capitol, parks, restaurants, farmer's markets and the Golden 1 Arena. Our building has easy access to I-5, Highway 50, and Highway 80.


This position may be eligible for Hybrid work. In-person attendance is required based on the operational needs of the position and in accordance with Executive Order N-22-25 the Statewide Hybrid Telework Policy, Government Code section 14200, and any applicable department telework requirements. The successful candidate must reside in California at the time of appointment. Proof of California residency may be required.


Please note: Regular commute is not compensable.

• The IT Associate must possess a solid foundation of technical knowledge, strong analytical abilities, and effective communication skills to support daily operational needs and contribute to enterprise IT initiatives. This includes assisting with the configuration, deployment, and troubleshooting of end-user systems and enterprise technologies. Strong teamwork and customer service skills are essential, as the IT Associate regularly works with customers, technical staff, management, and vendors to gather information, resolve issues, and help maintain secure and scalable IT solutions. Additionally, the role supports service restoration efforts during disruptions, performs related duties such as cross-departmental tasks and special projects, and participates in routine team meetings as needed.
