ARMS Staffing

Registered Nurse - Labor & Delivery, Postpartum, and Newborn

A dedicated Registered Nurse is needed for Labor & Delivery, Postpartum rooms, Baby-Friendly Hospital Initiative (BFHI), and newborn care. The unit experiences an average of 40 deliveries and 6 C-sections per month. The successful candidate may occasionally assume charge nurse responsibilities after completing charge nurse training.

Schedule

12-Hour Day shift. Must be flexible to work other shifts, weekends, and holidays, as needed.

Responsibilities

Provide care in Labor & Delivery, Postpartum, and newborn settings.
Oversee patient care as charge nurse, if trained and required.
Engage in patient education and support related to infant care and breastfeeding.
Monitor patients' conditions and provide appropriate interventions.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

Minimum of 5 years of recent experience in Labor & Delivery, Postpartum, and newborn care in a healthcare setting.
American Heart Association certifications: ACLS or ALSO, BLS, NRP, and AWHONN Advanced FHM required. RNC-EFM may substitute for AWHONN FHM.
