Emergency Room Registered Nurse (ER RN)We are seeking a qualified Emergency Room Registered Nurse (ER RN) to provide exceptional patient care in a fast-paced environment. This position requires a commitment to delivering high-quality assistance to a diverse patient population experiencing urgent health issues.Shift DetailsShift Type: Evening and NightShift Length: 12 hoursGuaranteed Hours: 36 hours per weekWeekend Requirements: Every other weekendHoliday Requirements: Every other holidayUnit InformationType: ER (Emergency Room)Trauma Level: Adult and Pediatric Level 2 Trauma CenterPatient Capacity: 38 bed unit combined Emergency and Urgent Care; 5 trauma bays/resuscitation roomsAverage Patient Volume: 140-180 patients treated dailyNurse to Patient Ratios: ER 1:3, Urgent Care 1:6Key ResponsibilitiesTriage patients presenting from both walk-ins and ambulances.Provide advanced care including administering common medication drips, managing pediatric cases, and responding to emergency situations.Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including ED physicians and mid-level providers, to deliver effective patient care.Maintain monitoring of patient rhythms and conditions; assist with diagnostic tests and procedures as needed.Required QualificationsMinimum of 2 years of ER nursing experience.Required Certifications: ACLS (AHA), BLS (AHA), NIHSS, PALS (AHA), TNCC.Pediatric experience preferred, with Level 1 or 2 trauma experience being ideal.Familiarity with Cerner or similar electronic health systems is a plus.Additional InformationSecurity is available in-house 24/7, with local police support readily accessible.Patient care technicians and paramedics are available to assist with various tasks in the emergency room.X-ray and CT imaging services are available within the department.Orientation includes three days: two of which are dedicated to unit-specific experiences with a preceptor.Scrubs: Any solid color, maintained in a clean and professional manner.If you are looking for a rewarding opportunity to make a difference in the lives of patients in critical need, we encourage you to apply for this Emergency Room Registered Nurse position.
