Medical Assistant Monday to Friday 8:00am 5:00pm (no weekends, nights, or major holidays) Full-time (40/hour per week) Pay range is from $17-18 per hour with increases available based on performance Locations available: Knoxville & Chattanooga TN, In-Person River Valley Health is a comprehensive Federally Qualified Health Center caring for over 70,000 patients across 13 counties in Tennessee. Key Responsibilities Escorts patients throughout facility, interviews patients to obtain appropriate medical information/history, and measures vital signs. Obtains samples and performs inhouse CLIA approved testing upon medical provider's request when needed. Administers routine diagnostic test or calls medical facility or department to schedule patients for tests. Reviews provider's (Physician, NP, PA) orders, lab requests, or any other follow-up needs with patient, including the scheduling of any additional tests. Obtains pre-certifications from insurance providers for special procedures when needed. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent. Certified or Registered Medical Assistant.
