2026-27 Parish & School Security Operations Manager Diocese of Dallas Schools St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic School, Dallas, Texas Starting Date: Jul 1, 2026 Job ID: 5761281 Application Deadline: Posted until filled Posted: Jun 04, 2026 5:00 AM (UTC) Job Description St. Thomas Aquinas Parish & School Security Operations Manager Position Requirements for the Full-time, Exempt Position Leads the strategic implementation, continuous evaluation, and enhancement of the parish and school’s comprehensive Safety & Security Operations Plan and Crisis Management Program, including oversight of the Standard Response Protocol (SRP) and alignment with best practices in educational safety and risk management. Provides executive leadership for all campus security operations, including the scheduling and management of off‑duty Dallas Police Department (DPD) officers and security personnel for daily school operations, parish activities, and special events to ensure consistent and effective campus coverage. Collaborates with senior leadership and the Director of Technology to design, implement, and maintain advanced security infrastructure systems, including surveillance cameras, emergency communication platforms, access control systems, and mass notification technologies. Directs and oversees all campus emergency preparedness initiatives, including safety drills, crisis simulations, and emergency response exercises for students, faculty, staff, and parish personnel. Develops and administers comprehensive safety and emergency response training programs for new and returning employees, substitute staff, ministry volunteers, and campus stakeholders, ensuring compliance with institutional policies and emergency management standards. Serves as the senior liaison between the campus, law enforcement agencies, emergency responders, parents, community organizations, and neighborhood stakeholders on all matters related to safety, security, and crisis response. Provides executive oversight and operational leadership during all emergency situations, including Secure, Hold, Evacuate, Lockdown, and Shelter protocols, ensuring coordinated response efforts and timely communication with leadership and first responders. Leads the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of campus‑wide emergency procedures and incident response protocols; ensures all incidents are properly documented, investigated, and reported in accordance with organizational and regulatory requirements. Prepares and presents executive‑level reports, dashboards, and data analyses related to campus safety, security operations, incident trends, compliance metrics, and risk mitigation initiatives. Leads special initiatives and strategic projects related to campus safety, operational excellence, emergency preparedness, and organizational resilience. Performs additional executive leadership responsibilities and cross‑functional operational duties as assigned in support of the parish and school’s mission, safety priorities, and long‑term strategic objectives. Preferred Education, Faith Formation & Executive Qualifications Practicing Catholic with a strong understanding of Catholic liturgical traditions, parish operations, sacramental celebrations, and church‑related events, with the ability to support and uphold the mission and values of the Catholic Church. Demonstrated understanding of the unique safety and operational needs associated with liturgical celebrations, parish ministries, school functions, and large‑scale church events. Master’s degree preferred in Criminal Justice, Homeland Security, Emergency Management, Educational Leadership, Public Administration, Organizational Leadership, or a related field. Minimum of 5 years of progressive leadership experience in campus security, law enforcement, emergency management, educational administration, or public safety operations, including experience at the director or executive management level. Demonstrated expertise in crisis management, strategic planning, team leadership, regulatory compliance, and stakeholder engagement within educational or faith‑based environments. Strong executive presence with exceptional communication, leadership, organizational, and relationship‑management skills.
