Director of Philanthropy (Regional Major Gifts Officer) We are looking for talented and highly-motivated individuals who demonstrate a natural desire to support the meaningful work of community oncologists and the patients we serve. Scope The Director of Philanthropy is a front-line relationship builder and mission ambassador for Mary Bird Perkins Cancer Foundation. This role carries primary responsibility for securing major gifts of $25,000 to $250,000 within the Greater Baton Rouge, Northshore, and New Orleans regions by cultivating deep, trust-based relationships with grateful patients, families, and community leaders. Essential Functions Build and steward a dynamic portfolio of 75–125 major-gift prospects and donors, focusing on gifts in the $25,000–$250,000 range. Own the full donor relationship from qualification through stewardship, maintaining genuine relationships at the center of every strategy. Expand the major-gift pipeline through physician-champion partnerships, regional advisory council engagement, and authentic community presence. Maintain timely, accurate donor records in the philanthropy CRM (Virtuous) and actively engage in portfolio reviews to ensure accountability and momentum. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree or CFRE preferred. Minimum 3–5 years of major-gift fundraising or philanthropy experience with a demonstrated portfolio. #J-18808-Ljbffr
