POSITION SUMMARYThe Logistics Coordinator is responsible for Camp Hope's supply chain, storeroom, and vehicle fleet operations, ensuring Veterans and staff have reliable access to essential goods and safe, timely transportation. This position manages inventory tracking, donation intake, and fleet maintenance; coordinates daily transportation schedules for residents and staff; and develops vehicle safety training for Foundation personnel who operate Camp Hope vehicles. The principal outcomes are uninterrupted supply availability, a well-maintained and compliant vehicle fleet, and safe, dependable transportation for the Camp Hope community.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS- Manage inventory levels, storage, and organization for Camp Hope's cold storage, dry storage, and office supply areas, using the organization's approved inventory-management system to track stock and generate reports.
- Plan, coordinate, and oversee the intake, sorting, and storage of donated goods for Camp Hope.
- Analyze supply usage data to identify trends, recommend cost-saving measures, and maintain high availability of essential materials within budget.
- Coordinate daily transportation schedules, shuttle rosters, and resident and staff travel needs; plan vehicle routes accounting for traffic, weather, and time constraints.
- Transport Veterans, staff, and supplies safely, operating Foundation vehicles within all applicable safety and licensing regulations.
- Conduct vehicle safety inspections and preventive maintenance scheduling, coordinate repairs, and maintain accurate vehicle and maintenance records to keep the fleet operational.
- Develop and deliver a fleet driver safety education and certification program for Foundation personnel who operate organization vehicles.
- Document and immediately report vehicle incidents, accidents, and safety concerns to the Camp Hope Operations Manager; enforce transportation policies and applicable traffic laws.
- Support emergency action planning and execution for evacuations, severe weather, and crisis situations, including supply and logistics coordination during emergency response.
- Serve as a mentor and role model for Veterans in the program, reinforcing values of responsibility, discipline, and wellness consistent with the Foundation’s peer-support model.
- Maintain accurate records, schedules, and routine reports for supply and transportation activity using approved systems and procedures.
- Complete required training, including trauma-informed and crisis-intervention certifications, and demonstrate proficiency in the tools and procedures assigned to the role.
- Perform other mission-aligned duties within the general scope and level of the position.
Decision authority : routine inventory replenishment, storage organization, donation intake, and vehicle routing and scheduling within established budget, safety, and Foundation policy; recommends supply cost-saving measures and vehicle maintenance or repair actions for supervisor approval. Does not have the authority to approve new vendor contracts, capital equipment purchases, budget modifications, or policy exceptions.
Direct reports : none.
Indirect or functional oversight : provides fleet-safety training and guidance to other Foundation personnel who operate organization vehicles, without formal supervisory authority over them.
This position does not diagnose, provide clinical treatment, or make clinical care decisions for Veterans in the program; interactions with residents are limited to logistical support, mentorship, and safety-related communication, consistent with the Foundation’s nonclinical, peer-support service model.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONSHigh school diploma or equivalent when job-related, or an equivalent combination of education and directly relevant experience; ability to perform the essential functions with or without reasonable accommodation; and any license, certification, or driving qualification specifically required for the role.
Job-related required competencies: Class A Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) with Passenger Endorsement, or ability to obtain within six months of hire; minimum two years of experience in logistics, supply chain, or transportation coordination; proficiency in standard office productivity software and the organization’s approved inventory-management and donor-management systems, or ability to complete required system training within 90 days of hire; ability to pass a background check, drug test, and psychological evaluation; completion of required trauma-informed and crisis-intervention training within 180 days of hire; First Aid, CPR, and AED certification within one year of employment.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS Prior experience in training or mentoring staff on vehicle safety and operational procedures.
Experience with formal inventory-management software platforms.
Military veteran.
Work is performed both indoors (storeroom and office areas) and outdoors on the Camp Hope campus, including driving Foundation vehicles on public roads in varying weather conditions.
Regularly requires sitting or standing for extended periods, with frequent lifting, reaching, walking, kneeling, and repetitive motions.
Occasionally lifts and moves supplies and equipment weighing up to 50 pounds.
Occasional exposure to outdoor weather conditions and bloodborne pathogens; personal protective equipment provided as needed.
Requires full-range vision and hearing sufficient for safe vehicle operation.
