This role is responsible for identifying, attracting, and hiring exceptional attorneys and legal professionals while partnering closely with firm leadership to support our continued growth. Position Summary The Legal Talent Acquisition Manager serves as the firm's primary recruiting professional and is responsible for the full-cycle recruitment of attorneys and legal support staff across multiple practice areas. This is not a posting-and-praying recruiting role. We're looking for someone who understands the legal market, knows where exceptional legal talent comes from, proactively builds pipelines, and consistently delivers outstanding candidates before the competition does. The ideal candidate has extensive experience recruiting attorneys and legal professionals, possesses a strong understanding of California employment laws and recruiting best practices, and approaches hiring as a strategic business function rather than an administrative task. While the primary focus of this position is Talent Acquisition, the successful candidate will also assist with various Human Resources initiatives and projects as business needs require. What You'll Do Talent Acquisition Lead full-cycle recruitment for attorneys and legal support professionals from sourcing through onboarding. Recruit for a variety of legal positions, including: Associate Attorneys Senior Attorneys Of Counsel Litigation Paralegals Legal Assistants Case Managers Intake Specialists Legal Secretaries Administrative Professionals Develop innovative sourcing strategies utilizing LinkedIn Recruiter, legal associations, referrals, networking, direct outreach, job boards, and other recruiting platforms. Build and maintain a strong pipeline of passive legal talent before hiring needs arise. Conduct comprehensive candidate interviews to evaluate legal knowledge, technical skills, litigation experience, communication abilities, professionalism, and cultural fit. Partner with department leaders and firm leadership to understand hiring priorities and workforce planning. Coordinate interviews and manage the hiring process from initial contact through offer acceptance. Negotiate offers and successfully close candidates in a highly competitive legal market. Deliver an exceptional candidate experience that reflects the professionalism and values of LNN Law. Maintain recruiting metrics, hiring reports, pipeline activity, and recruiting analytics. Continuously improve recruiting strategies and employer branding initiatives. Human Resources Support Assist with Human Resources initiatives and special projects as assigned. Support various employee lifecycle activities as business needs require. Maintain strict confidentiality regarding employee and firm information. Collaborate with the Human Resources team to support operational excellence. What Success Looks Like Success in this position is measured by results. You'll be expected to: Successfully recruit and hire exceptional attorneys and legal professionals. Consistently fill attorney positions within approximately 2–4 weeks, when market conditions reasonably allow. Maintain active pipelines of qualified legal talent for critical positions. Reduce time-to-fill without compromising hiring quality. Present quality candidates—not simply a high volume of resumes. Build lasting relationships within California's legal community. Become a trusted hiring partner to firm leadership. Qualifications Required Minimum 5 years of full-cycle recruiting experience. Minimum 3 years of dedicated legal recruiting experience. Demonstrated success recruiting attorneys and legal support professionals. Strong understanding of the California legal employment market. Experience sourcing passive candidates through networking and direct outreach. Strong knowledge of California employment laws as they relate to recruiting and hiring. Working knowledge of EEO guidelines, fair hiring practices, and employment compliance. Exceptional interviewing, negotiation, and closing skills. Outstanding written and verbal communication skills. Strong organizational and project management abilities. Ability to manage multiple searches simultaneously while meeting deadlines. Preferred Experience recruiting for plaintiff-side litigation firms. Experience supporting high-growth organizations. Experience using LinkedIn Recruiter, applicant tracking systems, and recruiting analytics. Human Resources experience within a professional services environment. Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Expert knowledge of full-cycle recruiting and legal talent acquisition. Strong understanding of attorney career progression and law firm organizational structures. Ability to identify high-performing legal professionals beyond what's written on a resume. Excellent relationship-building and networking skills. Strong negotiation and influencing abilities. High level of professionalism, integrity, and discretion. Exceptional attention to detail. Self-motivated, resourceful, and results-oriented.
