Senior Manager of Financial Planning & AnalysisReporting directly to the CFO, the Senior Manager of Financial Planning and Analysis will lead the day-to-day FP&A function and financial data management process. This role is responsible for supporting collaborative cross-functional efforts to drive relevant, flexible, and efficient financial planning and analysis that supports our key business decisions. The Senior Manager will be responsible for the management & evolution of financial tools used to summarize and evaluate business performance including the company's financial reporting, forecasting & annual operating plan.This role will manage the execution of the company-wide budgeting, forecasting, long-term planning, and business performance analysis processes. Conducts financial analysis, modeling, forecasting, and reporting efforts to ensure efficient financial operations. Reviews analysis results and develops actionable recommendations for the CFO and business leaders related to investments, sourcing, cost reduction, and other strategic and operational decisions.Primary Responsibilities:Designs, implements, and manages the company-wide annual budget and recurring forecasting process, including timelines, assumptions, templates, consolidation, and review cadencePrepares weekly, monthly, and quarterly financial reporting, including variance analysis and clear explanations of performance against budget, forecast, and prior periodsCreates financial models and scenarios as a key input for business planning decisionsPrepares and analyzes data which may include locating, profiling, cleansing, extracting, mapping, importing, transforming, validating, or modelingUses knowledge of business objectives, strategies, and needs to identify opportunities where data can be leveraged to achieve the desired business benefitsUnderstands current data context, processes and availability, and how current data processes and existing data can be leveraged to achieve the desired benefitsEnsures data integrity and consistency throughout the business and systems; performs validation and testing to confirm the accuracy of the information createdIdentifies and executes upon process improvement opportunitiesLeads ad hoc financial analysis where the business question, available data, or analytical approach may not be clearly defined; frames the question, develops the analysis, and communicates recommendationsDevelops scalable management reporting and dashboards using Power BI and other financial and data toolsManages and develops the FP&A team, initially consisting of one direct report, including prioritization, coaching, and review of work productRequired Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance7+ years of progressive FP&A, corporate finance, or related experience, including hands-on responsibility for budgeting, forecasting, and management reportingHighly proficient in ExcelAbility to work independently, create structure from ambiguity, and manage new projects with general guidanceAbility to develop innovative solutions to support business needsPrior people-management or significant team and project leadership experiencePreferred Qualifications:CPA, along with public accounting experience, or CMAEquivalent industry and project management experienceExperience with Microsoft Dynamic 365 Business ApplicationsExperience with Corporate Performance Management ToolsHands-on experience with Power BI or a comparable business intelligence platform; experience with Power Query, DAX, SQL, relational databases, or extracting data from ERP systems strongly preferredLocation Remote with a preferred location of Columbia, MD, Virginia Beach, Roanoke, Richmond, Pittsburgh, and NaplesExperience with ASC-606-Revenue RecognitionExperience in the Construction and Service industriesPhysical DemandsThe physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
