This role is designed for future RNs to master critical care workflows, advanced monitoring, and emergency response in a fast-paced Intensive Care Unit. The Role The Critical Care Technician primarily assists licensed nursing staff in the Intensive Care Unit through: Clinical Support: Delivery of basic care under the supervision of a registered professional nurse. Tech Management: Managing ICU technology, specialized supplies, and vital record keeping. Communication: Enhancing flow between healthcare providers to optimize resource use. Monitoring: Maintaining high attention to detail in cardiac and vital sign data. Qualifications High school graduate or equivalent. Required Experience: Two (2) or more years of previous patient care or EMS background. Technical Skills: Proficiency in computer use and program applications. Acuity Management: Ability to prioritize workload in a fluctuating, high-acute environment. Certifications: Must maintain current BLS.
