- Prepare accurate and detailed cost estimates by analyzing drawings, specifications, and bid documents
- Perform quantity takeoffs for labor, materials, and equipment using software and manual methods
- Solicit, evaluate, and manage subcontractor and vendor quotations
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and subcontractors
- Collaborate with Project Management and Engineering teams to support bid development and project execution
- Respond to RFIs and provide clarification on scope and estimates
- Manage multiple bids simultaneously while meeting strict deadlines
- Perform additional duties as required to support estimating and preconstruction efforts
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field preferred
- Equivalent industry experience will be considered in lieu of a degree
- Minimum 7+ years of estimating experience in heavy civil construction
- Strong experience with takeoffs, particularly in highways and large-scale infrastructure projects
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities
- Ability to work effectively under tight deadlines
- Excellent communication and team collaboration skills
- Experience building and maintaining vendor/subcontractor relationships
- Familiarity with estimating software (experience with HCSS HeavyBid is a plus)
- Full-time, Monday through Friday
- On-site role based in Chagrin Falls, OH
