Johnson Service Group (JSG) is seeking a Mortgage Loan Closer II for a Credit Union partner in North Orange County. Schedule: Hybrid (2 remote days/week), Monday-Friday, 9:00 AM-6:00 PM Pay: $29-$35/hour DOE

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and review Closing Disclosures (CDs) and mortgage closing packages.
• Coordinate loan closings with escrow, title, attorneys, and other third parties.
• Review closing conditions and executed loan documents for accuracy and compliance.
• Fund mortgage loans, issue wires, reconcile general ledgers, and book loans into servicing.
• Ensure compliance with underwriting requirements, TRID, RESPA, and other federal/state mortgage regulations.
• Manage a high-volume pipeline while meeting deadlines with exceptional attention to detail.
• Maintain accurate loan records in the Loan Origination System (LOS).

Qualifications

High school diploma required; Bachelor's degree preferred. Mortgage loan closing/funding experience required. Experience with out-of-state lending. Strong knowledge of residential mortgage lending, title/escrow practices, and mortgage regulations (TRID, RESPA, ECOA, HMDA, SAFE Act, etc.). Excellent analytical, mathematical, organizational, and communication skills. Experience with Mortgage Cadence or similar LOS, Episys, FICS, and Microsoft Office preferred.
