Accounting Associate, Accounts Payable

The purpose of this job is to perform routine AP accounting activities such as invoice processing via the company's ERP system, payment research and vendor payment processing. Process large volumes of invoices via interfaces within the company's ERP system, in a timely manner while ensuring accuracy. Process large volumes of payments to vendors in accordance with company policy and vendor contractual agreements. Maintain accurate records of accounts payable transactions and ensure proper support is archived for audits and compliance standards. Work with vendors and internal team members to resolve payment discrepancies. Ensure that transaction entry verification procedures are followed. Model behaviors that support the company's common purpose; ensure guests and team members are supported at the highest level. Ensure all activities are in compliance with rules, regulations, policies, and procedures. Complete other duties as assigned. Additional duty may also be required: Respond to inquiries via e-mail and phone calls. We are seeking applicants with a local presence in Knoxville, TN or the surrounding communities. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent certification required Associate degree in accounting or finance preferred Accounts Payable experience preferred General Ledger experience preferred Specialized Knowledge Intermediate Microsoft Office skills preferred Competencies Strong organizational skills with attention to detail Strong analytical and critical thinking skills Strong teamwork and problem-solving skills Strong written and verbal communication skills Ability to meet deadlines, work extended hours when necessary, and perform work with a high sense of urgency Travel Travel required less than 5% Physical Requirements & Working Conditions General office work requiring sitting or standing for long periods of time #J-18808-Ljbffr
