School Social Worker - High School | Maternity Leave Coverage

Navra is seeking a compassionate and dedicated School Social Worker to provide maternity leave coverage during the 2026-2027 school year in the Sycamore, IL area. This is a rewarding opportunity to support high school students by promoting their social, emotional, and behavioral well-being within a collaborative school environment.

Assignment Details

• Assignment Dates: October 1, 2026 - December 15, 2026
• Schedule: 37.5 hours per week
• School Setting: High School
• Student Caseload: Approximately 35-40 students

Qualifications

• Active Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL) with School Social Worker endorsement
• Active Illinois Social Worker license (as required)
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Social Work from an accredited program
• New graduates are encouraged to apply if they hold a valid Illinois PEL

Responsibilities

• Provide individual and group counseling to support students' social, emotional, and behavioral needs
• Conduct social developmental assessments and contribute to special education evaluations as needed
• Participate in Individualized Education Program (IEP) meetings and multidisciplinary team meetings
• Collaborate with teachers, administrators, families, and community agencies to develop effective student support plans
• Assist with crisis intervention, conflict resolution, and behavioral support strategies
• Connect students and families with appropriate school and community resources
• Maintain accurate documentation and ensure compliance with state and federal special education regulations
