Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Rotating Shifts (Days, Evenings, Nights) | Onsite | Weekends, Holidays, On-Call, and Callback per Unit Needs

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care on an adult medical/surgical unit serving patients with active co-morbid psychiatric and/or behavioral health conditions
• Adapt to a varied patient population in a dynamic and evolving care environment
• Perform telemetry monitoring and respond appropriately to cardiac changes
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to address both acute medical and psychiatric patient needs
• Assume charge nurse responsibilities as required by unit needs

Required Qualifications

• Active New York State Registered Nurse (RN) License – NY license required
• Minimum 2 years of recent medical/surgical nursing experience
• Psychiatric or behavioral health nursing experience required
• Telemetry experience required
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification – American Heart Association (AHA) only

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience in an acute care med/surg setting
• Demonstrated flexibility and enthusiasm for working in a growing, specialized unit environment
