Registered Nurse - IMC/PCU/Stepdown

Call for Salary Rate -

Job Summary:

Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients within the Intermediate/Progressive Care Unit and Stepdown settings, adhering to the scope of practice defined by the Oregon State Board of Nursing. Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to ensure optimal patient outcomes and safety.

Responsibilities:

• 
  Apply the nursing process to assess and prioritize patient care needs.
  
  
• 
  Educate patients and their families regarding treatment plans and health management.
  
  
• 
  Document patient care accurately and thoroughly in electronic medical records.
  
  
• 
  Collaborate with physicians, therapists, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care.
  
  
• 
  Maintain compliance with hospital policies and certification requirements.
  
  
• 
  Demonstrate flexibility to support unbillable hours and adapt to shift changes as needed.
  
  

Qualifications:

• 
  Current Oregon RN license or willingness to obtain.
  
  
• 
  Minimum of 24 months of recent experience in an acute care hospital setting, specifically in PCU, IMCU, Telemetry, or Stepdown units.
  
  
• 
  Strong knowledge of intermediate/progressive care procedures and patient monitoring.
  
  
• 
  BLS (AHA) and ACLS (AHA) certifications, or willingness to obtain.
  
  
• 
  Ability to work effectively within a team and independently.
  
  
• 
  Excellent documentation and communication skills.
