Job Title

Registered Nurse (RN) – Progressive Care Unit (PCU) – Nights (Contract)

Key Responsibilities

• Apply the nursing process to the care of patients within the RN scope of practice as defined by the Oregon State Board of Nursing
• Educate patients and significant others regarding care, treatment plans, and health management
• Accurately document patient care and clinical findings in the medical record
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to effectively coordinate overall patient care
• Monitor and respond to changes in patient condition in a Progressive Care / Intermediate Care setting

Required Qualifications

• Active or willingness to obtain Oregon RN license prior to start
• Minimum of 24 months of current Intermediate/Progressive Care Unit (PCU/IMCU/Telemetry/Stepdown) experience
• Acute care hospital experience required
• BLS certification (AHA) – must be active or willing to obtain
• ACLS certification (AHA) – must be active or willing to obtain
• Discipline-specific skills checklist required at time of submission

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience in a Telemetry or Stepdown unit in addition to PCU/IMCU background
• Familiarity with interdisciplinary care coordination in a comprehensive acute care hospital environment
