Foot & Ankle Associate Sales Representative - San Francisco Bay Area, CA

Foot & Ankle Sales Associate Work Flexibility: Field‑based Responsibilities Partner closely with Sales Representative(s) in the area to quickly learn the medical device industry and Foot & Ankle business, and then contribute to the growth of that business in the assigned territory. Partner with the Sales Rep(s) in all aspects of the sales call pattern, covering cases, marketing and promotion, building sets, managing inventory, and converting customers to Stryker. Attend surgeries in which Stryker Foot & Ankle products are used, ensuring all products are available for surgeon use and instructing surgeons regarding product use and functionality. Educate and inform doctors, nurses, and appropriate staff personnel on proper use, maintenance, functionality, updates, changes to product portfolio, and educational programs. Work with sales teams to contact customers, identify sales opportunities, deliver excellent customer service, and develop the customer relationship. Identify needs of new prospects with the assigned Sales Representative and develop appropriate responses. After product training, tailor Stryker’s promotional message based on customer knowledge, advise on appropriate product selection, answer questions about functionality, and distinguish Stryker products from competitors. Perform field calls for assigned accounts and territory. Assist in implementing new sales plans and marketing strategies to position the organization competitively. Partner with the Sales Representative and organization to meet and exceed business targets (quotas). Serve as the primary backup contact for Sales Representative(s). Acquire a basic understanding of regulatory compliance issues and adhere to guidelines. Assist with problem resolution in accounts. Partner with Sales Rep(s) on inventory management and building appropriate inventory levels and sets. Assist with processing Customer Purchase Orders for proper invoicing. Maintain training in sales skills and products. Market the product line to customers based on functionality, features, and differentiators. Remain current on industry, customer, and competitive trends. Participate in and attend sales meetings and professional association meetings outside of regular business hours. Consistently adhere to compliance and responsibility principles (AdvaMed), maintaining privacy and confidentiality, protecting assets, acting with ethics and integrity, reporting non‑compliance, and adhering to applicable laws, regulations, accreditation, licences, and company policies. Qualifications Bachelor’s Degree OR Associate’s degree or Medical Certification (e.g. CST, PT, CPT, etc.) + at least 2 years of professional and/or related experience High School Diploma + at least 4 years of professional and/or related experience 4+ years of active duty military service Compensation Sales Base Salary + commission: $80,000 + Commission Travel Percentage: 30% EEO Statement Stryker Corporation is an equal‑opportunity employer. Field‑based – You can expect to regularly work a majority to 100% of time at customer facilities and has a set territory or expectation to travel within a set boundary. Onsite – Role is 100% located at a Stryker facility. Some ad hoc flexibility may be available.
