Job Description Buyer Associate Location: Austin, TX Pay Rate: $30.00 – $35.00 per hour Contract Type: Temporary ( 12‐month duration, temp‐to‐perm opportunity ) Work Arrangement: Hybrid ( 2 days in office / 3 days remote ) Job Overview We are seeking an experienced Buyer Associate to support procurement and sourcing operations in a fast‐paced manufacturing environment. This role is responsible for purchasing materials, managing supplier relationships, expediting orders, resolving discrepancies, and ensuring accurate procurement documentation. The ideal candidate thrives in an ever‐changing environment, adapts quickly to shifting priorities, and can effectively communicate with both suppliers and internal stakeholders at all levels of the organization. Must‐Haves 3–5 years of sourcing experience 3–5 years of purchasing/procurement experience Strong written and verbal communication skills Experience communicating with senior-level stakeholders Ability to multitask and work effectively under pressure Strong attention to detail and accuracy Nice to Have SAP experience Manufacturing or MRO (Maintenance, Repair & Operations) purchasing experience Qualifications Strong customer service skills Intermediate Microsoft Excel skills Above-average mathematical and analytical skills Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines High level of accuracy in order processing and documentation Bachelor's Degree preferred in: Business Computer Science Communications Related field ResponsibilitiesProcurement & Purchasing Place purchase orders and blanket order releases Expedite orders to meet operational requirements Enter, update, and maintain purchasing records Support procurement activities in a fast-paced environment Supplier Management Contact vendors and suppliers for pricing and quotations Develop and maintain supplier relationships Support sourcing efforts for manufacturing and MRO materials Data & Documentation Compile and maintain purchasing records and documentation Ensure product file integrity and accuracy Research specifications for products and materials when needed Problem Resolution Reconcile payable discrepancies Resolve vendor and customer-related purchasing issues Support internal stakeholders with procurement inquiries Customer Service & Collaboration Provide exceptional service to internal and external customers Assist colleagues who may require support with systems or processes Communicate effectively across departments and business functions Required Skills Procurement & Purchasing Strategic Sourcing Vendor Management Purchase Order Administration Manufacturing Materials Purchasing MRO Procurement Microsoft Excel Data Analysis Customer Service Written & Verbal Communication Problem Solving Time Management Ideal Candidate Profile We are looking for someone who: Has experience sourcing manufacturing and MRO materials Can adapt quickly to changing priorities Is patient and willing to assist others Communicates effectively with stakeholders at all levels Maintains accuracy while managing multiple tasks Thrives in a fast-paced procurement environment Work ArrangementHybrid Schedule 2 days onsite 3 days remote Requirements: Candidates must be able to work onsite in Austin, TX twice per week High-speed internet connection required for remote work Future onsite requirements may change based on business needs #J-18808-Ljbffr 6AM City, LLC
