Plumbing Designer

Selectek is searching for a Plumbing Designer in the Kennesaw, GA area Successful candidate is proficient in REVIT, can be an individual contributor and also offer the benefit of their knowledge and experience to mentor/assist less experienced designers. Pay starting at $90K-$110K per year, based off experience. Job Description: KEY ROLES • Support Plumbing Lead • Develop Designs • Meet Deadlines DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES • Follow employee policies. • Utilize company project templates for project execution. • Follow company QA/QC process, overall and engineering department. • Keep up with timekeeping and reporting daily, submitting weekly timesheets at the end of every week. • Communicate with clients, vendors, and contractors effectively as required for job execution. Represent company in a professional and positive manner in all communications, whether written or verbal. • Follow company file management procedures in maintaining project documentation. • Produce and review technical specifications and reports. • Perform and document plumbing and fire protection technical calculations. • Attending project and company meetings as directed by team leads or manager. • Produce plumbing and fire protection drawings as needed on projects. • Train and direct engineering interns or junior designers. • Identify training opportunities to continually improve and participate in them as directed by manager. • Participate in project site visits and facility audits as necessary to support projects. • Provide feedback on company policies and procedures to continually improve company efficiencies. Required: • Minimum 5 years of experience • Engineering in Training (EIT/FE) Certification preferred, but not required. • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English. • Thorough and accurate attention to detail. • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. • Good ability to communicate information and ideas in writing so others will understand. Preferred: Bachelor of Science Degree; Engineering Engineering in Training (EIT/FE) Certification preferred, but not required. Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
