Molecular Sales Specialist – Waters Advanced Diagnostics Waters Advanced Diagnostics is seeking a Molecular Sales Specialist in the Seattle, WA or Portland, OR area. The role will involve calling on Clinical Molecular and Microbiology laboratories, Pathology Labs, Reference Labs, and Acute Clinical Labs. Products include BD MAX, BD ViperLT, BD COR, and all Molecular Assays. Primary contacts are Lab Managers, supervisors, medical technicians, pathologists and procurement personnel within the Molecular and Anatomical pathology laboratory space. Primary Responsibilities Achieve annual sales budget and profit targets set for the territory/region. Communicate Waters’ long‑term strategic direction to customers and demonstrate the value proposition of the diagnostic product portfolio. Become proficient in molecular applications and serve as a molecular technical and capital equipment authority, driving sales of Waters’ complete molecular portfolio. Work closely with the Local Diagnostic Solutions POD structure to identify and close new accounts, attaining or exceeding overall sales plans for the designated platform of products. Develop and implement a regional and strategic account sales plan involving multiple partners and buyers in the hospital/laboratory adoption of designated products and platforms. Call on prospective customers, build demand, communicate medical, clinical, and patient outcome benefits, deliver product information and demonstrations, and prepare economic models, proposals and quotes within company guidelines. Develop and implement sales and marketing plans, including customer profiling, targeting and call schedules, to ensure achievement of all sales objectives. Demonstrate the ability to work with all Waters personnel as a member of the POD structure to achieve regional objectives through communication of successful tactics and recommendations for continuous improvement in procedures, strategies, and specific processes. Work with key support staff and other technical support team members to develop and implement key account evaluation plans and update colleagues regularly. Generate leads and sales by participating in state, regional and national meetings as advised by Sales Management. Participate on cross‑functional product launch teams, working closely with other Diagnostic Solutions sales team members and Marketing Product Managers to gather standard methodology and centers of excellence data. Actively participate in all training sessions and demonstrate proficiency by testing or other means as assigned. Lead administrative duties as assigned: supervise expenses to budget (free goods/samples), provide timely administrative and call reporting, funnel and competitive data entries, use and maintain company assets, and adhere to OSHA and universal lab precautions, consistent with Waters’ policies. Minimum Requirements Bachelor’s degree required, preferably in Biology or Microbiology. 2–3 years of sales experience in a diagnostics field highly preferred.
