The Carter Burden Network (CBN) promotes the well-being of older adults 60 and older through a continuum of services, advocacy, arts and culture, health and wellness, and volunteer programs-all oriented to individual, family, and community needs. We are dedicated to supporting the efforts of older adults to live independently, safely, and with dignity in their own homes and communities.

Covello Older Adult Center- East Harlem, NYC

If so, you might be the perfect addition to our small but mighty team at the Carter Burden Luncheon Club.

We're looking for a Volunteer Coordinator who brings heart, curiosity, and a commitment to service. In this role, you'll be the welcoming face for volunteers, the steady support behind our daily lunch service, and a key connector between older adults and the volunteers who brighten their days. You'll also help coordinate several NYC Aging-funded programs that reduce isolation and strengthen community bonds.

This is a 100% in-person role in a lively older adult center with a commercial kitchen, a bustling dining room, and a team of colleagues who care deeply about the work we do. If you're someone who jumps in where needed, loves building relationships, and wants to grow your skills in volunteer management and nonprofit operations, we'd love to meet you.

Compensation & Benefits

The position offers an hourly rate between $17-19.78, fully aligned with the NYC Pay Transparency Act.
