Front Desk Associate

Position Summary You will shape the first and final impressions of a guest’s Nemacolin experience, combining polished hospitality with the knowledge, attentiveness, and judgment that make every arrival, stay, and departure feel effortless. As a Front Desk Associate, you will serve as a trusted resource for guests, anticipating needs, personalizing interactions, and coordinating seamlessly across the resort to turn questions, requests, and everyday moments into memorable experiences. Within a resort featuring Forbes Five-Star and AAA Five-Diamond luxury accommodations and experiences, this role offers the opportunity to refine your hospitality expertise, build relationships across the operation, and develop the skills that can become the foundation for a rewarding career in luxury hospitality. What You Will Create A welcoming sense of arrival by engaging each guest with genuine warmth, offering champagne, and creating a polished first impression that establishes confidence in the experience ahead Effortless guest journeys from arrival through departure by managing arrival and departure procedures, verifying guest information and payment details, and maintaining accurate accounts while ensuring efficiency never comes at the expense of personalized service. Confident, informed guest experiences by drawing on thorough knowledge of accommodations, dining, recreation, events, daily programming, operating hours, and surrounding attractions to provide thoughtful recommendations and relevant guidance Personalized service that anticipates what guests need next by recognizing preferences, special occasions, VIP considerations, repeat visits, and emerging requests, then connecting guests with the appropriate resort experiences and resources Seamless coordination across the resort through close collaboration with Housekeeping, Butler Services, Concierge, Reservations, Recreation, Food & Beverage, Transportation, and other departments to ensure requests are communicated clearly and carried through to completion Accurate and thoughtful stewardship of guest information through careful management of profiles, preferences, notes, requests, room changes, extensions, charges, payments, and other account details within the property management system Confidence during moments that matter most by responding to questions, concerns, and service recovery opportunities with empathy, sound judgment, and professionalism, while knowing when to escalat issue appropriately Continuity of service across every shift by communicating relevant guest information, outstanding requests, and service considerations clearly so the next associate can carry the experience forward without missing a detail A polished and secure front desk environment by maintaining an organized lobby presence, protecting guest privacy and confidentiality, following cash-handling and security protocols, and remaining composed and service-focused during periods of high-volume arrivals and departures What You Can Expect A highly personalized guest-facing hospitality role within a resort featuring Forbes Five-Star and AAA Five-Diamond luxury accommodations A dynamic environment where thoughtful conversation, resort knowledge, and genuine connection are as important as operational accuracy Frequent collaboration with Front Office, Housekeeping, Butler Services, Concierge, Reservations, Recreation, Food & Beverage, Transportation, and other departments Opportunities to build expertise in guest relations, property management systems, service recovery, resort operations, and luxury hospitality A role that balances standing and active guest engagement with detailed computer-based account and reservation responsibilities A schedule that includes varying shifts, evenings, weekends, and holidays in support of guest needs and resort operations An environment where each interaction provides an opportunity to strengthen your hospitality skills and build a foundation for continued career growth What You Bring A naturally warm, outgoing presence and a genuine interest in making people feel welcomed, informed, and cared for The communication skills and professional confidence to build meaningful relationships with guests, colleagues, and partners across the resort Curiosity about the resort, the surrounding area, and the experiences available to guests, with the ability to translate that knowledge into thoughtful recommendations Composure and sound judgment when priorities shift, guest needs become complex, or the pace of operation intensifies Strong organization and attention to detail, particularly when managing guest information, financial transactions, requests, and multiple priorities simultaneously Comfort learning technology and property management systems while maintaining accuracy and efficiency A collaborative mindset and willingness to contribute wherever needed to create a seamless guest experience Professionalism, discretion, and an appreciation for the standards expected within a luxury hospitality environment Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent required; must be at least 18 years of age Previous guest- or customer-facing experience required; hospitality experience preferred Computer literacy and the ability to learn and effectively use property management and other resort systems Fluency in English, with strong verbal and written communication skills General knowledge of the surrounding area and local attractions, or the curiosity and ability to develop that knowledge Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining composure, accuracy, and service standards Ability to stand for up to eight hours at a time and perform the physical requirements of the role Availability to work varying shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays Additional Information This job description is not intended to be a comprehensive list of all duties, responsibilities, or activities associated with this position.
