Business Systems Analyst

Pay Range: $47hr - $52hr

The Business Systems Analyst will bridge business and technology teams by gathering, analyzing, and validating requirements while supporting data-driven initiatives. The role requires strong SQL and data analysis expertise to identify trends, validate outputs, and ensure data integrity across systems. The ideal candidate will collaborate with stakeholders and technical teams to deliver end-to-end solutions aligned with business goals.

Responsibilities:

• Act as a Business Systems Analyst/Product Owner supporting business initiatives.
• Collaborate with stakeholders and technical teams to gather and document business requirements.
• Translate business needs into functional specifications, user stories, and acceptance criteria.
• Perform hands-on data analysis using SQL including complex queries, joins, subqueries, and CTEs.
• Analyze data discrepancies, trends, and patterns to support decision-making.
• Validate data outputs, reports, and dashboards for accuracy and integrity.
• Support data-driven use cases, integrations, and downstream system processes.
• Participate in UAT planning, execution, defect triage, and sign-off.
• Work closely with development, QA, and data teams for end-to-end delivery.

Skills:

• Strong expertise in SQL and data analysis.
• Knowledge of data models, relational databases, and data flows.
• Experience working with large datasets and analytics/reporting use cases.
• Strong understanding of SDLC and Agile/Scrum methodologies.
• Ability to communicate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Experience with tools such as JIRA, Confluence, or similar.

Experience:

• 7+ years of experience as a Business Systems Analyst or similar role.
• Experience working in data analytics and reporting environments.
• Experience supporting end-to-end requirement lifecycle.

Should Have:

• Exposure to data warehousing or reporting tools.
• Experience in healthcare or insurance environments.
• Understanding of ETL processes and data dependencies.
• Basic knowledge of APIs and system integrations.
