Job Summary
Anesthesia Registered Nurse (RN) position in Wausau, Wisconsin, within the operating room (OR) specialty focusing on open heart procedures. This role involves supporting anesthesia providers across a variety of surgical specialties, with a primary focus on cardiothoracic operations. Candidates are required to bring their licensure on the first day of assignment.

• Schedule: Rotating shifts, 8 hours per day, Monday through Friday with various day shifts

• Guaranteed Hours per Week: 40 hours guaranteed
• Required Qualifications: Valid Wisconsin RN license or applicable compact RN license, associate degree or diploma in nursing (associates or bachelor's), minimum of 3+ years OR experience with anesthesia, certifications including American Heart Association (AHA) or ARC Basic Life Support (BLS), and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS). Prior travel experience is required.
• Preferred Qualifications: Strong OR and Cardiovascular Operating Room (CVOR) circulating experience, prior experience with conscious sedation, assisting with intubations and fiber optic scopes, sterile technique skills with central lines, arterial line placement, lumbar drains, Swan Ganz catheter management, starting IVs, lab draws, medication pump setup, and familiarity with Belmont, Cell Saver, and Level I equipment.
• Additional Information: A vehicle is required due to the 30-minute response time. The two-week orientation includes training for additional anesthesia skills. GSA hours are not guaranteed during orientation. Night-time call, weekends, and holiday rotations are part of the schedule. During flu season, decliners of flu and COVID vaccinations must wear masks at all times per policy.
