Exercise Physiologist

Position OverviewUtilizes current peer-reviewed literature as well as an educational background from an accredited university as a foundation for proper exercise rehabilitation of cardiovascular and pulmonary patients, including all aspects of their condition. Develops individualized exercise prescriptions for each patient and oversees the implementation with a multi-faceted team of health professionals. Promotes a caring and healing environment for patient-centered care.

UHS Cardiac Rehabilitation Binghamton General Hospital

Work Shift and Schedule:

This is a per diem position, which means you will work on an as needed, agreed upon basis. Working hours will be assigned by your manager.

Compensation Range:

$25.27 - $37.90 per hour, depending on experience

This position is not eligible for benefits.

Education/Experience

Minimum Required:

• Bachelor’s of Science degree in Exercise Science, Kinesiology, Exercise Physiology, or related field

Preferred:

• Master’s degree in Exercise Science, Kinesiology, Exercise Physiology, or related.

License/Certification

Minimum Required:

• Documentation of current CPR certification required within 1 week of employment.

• ACLS certification within 3 months of employment.

Preferred:

• American College of Sports Medicine (ACSM) certified Certified Exercise Specialist (CES) or Registered Clinical Exercise Physiologist (RCEP)

• American Association of Cardiovascular and Pulmonary Rehabilitation (AACVPR) Certified Cardiac Rehabilitation Professional (CCRP)
