Position: Respiratory Therapist

Location: 33 Mitchell Avenue, Johnson City, NY 13790

Schedule: Night Shift - 36 hours per week

Facility: UHS Wilson Medical Center (Acute Care Hospital)


Job Overview:


The Respiratory Therapist will provide advanced respiratory care in a high-acuity setting, supporting both adult critical care and neonatal patients. The role involves working with advanced ventilator systems, collaborating with multidisciplinary teams, and ensuring accurate clinical documentation.


Key Responsibilities:

• Provide respiratory care in critical care and NICU environments
• Operate and manage V60 BiPAP and Puritan Bennett 980 ventilators
• Monitor patient status and adjust treatment plans accordingly
• Document all patient care activities using EPIC EMR system
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and clinical teams
• Participate in external patient transports as required
• Ensure compliance with safety and infection control protocols

Requirements:

• Experience in critical care and NICU
• Hands-on experience with V60 BiPAP and Puritan Bennett 980 Ventilators
• Familiarity with EPIC system
• Graduate of an accredited Respiratory Therapy program

Certifications/Licensure:

• Active New York State Respiratory Therapy License
• NBRC Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT)
• Current BLS & ACLS certifications
