Sustainability Specialist We are pleased to recruit for a company whose corporate purpose is to create chemistry for a sustainable future and has been doing so for years. Their portfolio ranges from chemicals, plastics, performance products and crop protection products to oil and gas. Their products and solutions contribute to conserving resources, ensuring nutrition and improving quality of life. Our client is expanding and seeking a Sustainability Specialist in Houston, TX. Responsibilities The Sustainability Specialist supports the transparent, accurate, and timely reporting of sustainability risks, opportunities, and performance metrics to stakeholders, including investors, regulators, and the public. Key Responsibilities (amongst others) will include: Collation of information on sustainability and climate-related risk and opportunities aligned with relevant legislation, frameworks and standards to support Plant's disclosures. Drafting, updating and maintaining content for Plant's internal and external communications on sustainability programs such as content for Plant's sustainability website, and internal communication platforms. Track and close-out of comments in draft disclosures. Undertake research projects and benchmarking analysis as needed on sustainability-related topics and themes. Requirements + years of experience in corporate sustainability in a multi-national organization, with a focus on sustainability disclosure practices and corporate sustainability strategies, use of corporate data management systems to benchmark and synthesize data and communicate trends and insights from corporate sustainability sources. Intermediate to advanced skills in MS Office suite. Proficient in the following sustainability topics: greenhouse gas emissions, climate-related risks and opportunities, human rights, social capital, environmental stewardship, health and safety and the NGO landscape. Possess strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to communicate complex technical issues to different non-technical audiences. Proficient knowledge, understanding and experience of the application of some or all of the sustainability reporting frameworks, standards and guidelines, including the SASB, ISSB, GRI, TCFD, CSRD, TNFD and Ipieca. Must have a valid driver's license and current state required minimum vehicle insurance coverage to drive onto Client and Company property. Education Bachelor's degree in Sustainability, Environmental Science, Finance, Economics, Earth Sciences or related field. Location Houston, TX Pay Rate The pay range for this position is $ – per hour; however, the pay offered may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. This pay information is being provided pursuant to applicable law and is based in part on market location.
