Fitness Center Administrative Assistant - PART TIME Gleneagles Country Club

Job description Gleneagles Country Club is looking for a motivated individual to join our Healthy Lifestyle Center team as our Fitness Administrative Assistant. The ideal candidate will ensure that the Healthy Lifestyle Center is a welcome and inviting place for our members. This individual will be responsible for assisting with the day to day operations of the Healthy Lifestyle Center and providing administrative support to the Healthy Lifestyle Director/Manager. These responsibilities can include, but are not limited to the areas of: accounting duties (billing, reports, etc.), assisting members with help on equipment, registering our members, and scheduling personal training or spa treatments. Scheduled Hours: Monday – Thursday (3:00 – 8:00 PM), Saturday (8:30 am – 2:00 PM) Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Monitors the Fitness Center and the Spa of the Healthy Lifestyle Center. Assists the Manager with POS tickets, personal training charges, Accounting Reports, updating calendar, and assisting with communication (email blasts, phone app, website) to members. Assists with special events, lectures and zoom workshops and classes. Assists the Fitness Director/Manager in continued development of services within the Fitness Department. Attends all training sessions and regular staff meetings; researches assigned projects and topics. Completes other appropriate assignments made by the Healthy Lifestyle Director/Manager.

PRIOR FITNESS CENTER/TRAINING EXPERIENCE PREFERRED!

Skills and Abilities Required: Must have a pleasant personality and capable of having good communication skills for working directly with members. CPR, AED and First Aid certification preferred or will obtain within 90 days of employment. Excellent computer, oral, written and customer service skills required. Good organizational skills; well organized with proactive work style. Ability to work under pressure, meet deadlines and works overtime when necessary (to meet a deadline). Ability to work independently, conceptualize projects and manage multiple priorities. Proficient knowledge of Excel, Microsoft Word (including mail merges), and Adobe Photoshop. Physical Demands and Work Environment: Able to meet and perform the physical requirements and to work effectively in an environment, which is typical of this position. Frequent lifting, bending, climbing, stooping and pulling. Frequent repetitive motions Continuous standing and walking.Able to lift, pull or push 30 pounds. Able to operate a point-of-sale (POS) system. Outstanding customer service skills Develop and maintain awareness of occupational hazards and safety precautions; skilled in following safety practices and recognizing hazards. Ability to clean and maintain the fitness center to required cleanliness standards. Knowledge of and ability to perform required role in emergency situations.
