Management and Program Analyst

The Smithsonian Institution is the world’s largest museum, education, and research complex, with 21 museums and the National Zoo. This position is located in the Smithsonian Office of Protection Services (SOPS) which is responsible for the protection and security of all Smithsonian Institution facilities. OPS integrates and manages the work of all OPS security units across the Smithsonian, approximately 1200 staff and contractors, in a 24/7 operation. Experience GS-12 You qualify for this position if you have one year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the GS-11 level in the Federal Service. For this position, specialized experience is defined as planning and analyzing security program operations; recommending improvements for efficiency and effectiveness; managing contracting responsibilities; and preparing reports on complex security-related topics. GS-13 You qualify for this position if you have one year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the GS-12 level in the Federal Service. For this position, specialized experience is defined as organizing and managing projects to evaluate and improve security program operations; identifying success metrics; overseeing contracting responsibilities; and assessing the impact of new or revised policies on security operations.
