Sterile Processing Technician*$2,000 Sign-on/Retention Bonus Available for Full-time Employment*Department: Sterile Processing Work Hours: Rotating 10 hour shifts (7am-5:30pm 10am-8:30pm 1pm-11:30pm and possibly occasional 9pm-7:30am), weekends and holidays includedDecontaminates and reprocesses all in-house prepared sterile supplies. Issues, tracks, decontaminates, maintains, transports various types of patient care equipment, to provide Quality Patient Care.Qualifications:Required: High School Diploma or equivalent.Effective December 28, 2020 for newly hired Central Sterile Processing (CSP) Techs:*Must pass a nationally accredited central service exam for CSP and maintain certificationCSP technicians will have 18 months from date of hire to pass a nationally accredited central service examMust complete 12 hours of continuing education annuallySuccessful completion of applicable clearances as outlined in Human Resources policy HR-106 within 90 days of commencing employment.*CSP Techs employed as central service technicians prior to the effective date of Act 80 (12/28/2020) are exempt from certification requirements.Preferred: Central Sterile Processing experience.Equal Opportunity Employer This employer is required to notify all applicants of their rights pursuant to federal employment laws.
