Chef Manager

Location: Clinical Research Institute – New Haven, CT Pay: $30.00 per hour A Clinical Research Institute in New Haven, CT is seeking an experienced Chef Manager to lead daily kitchen operations. The ideal candidate is a hands‑on culinary leader with strong organizational skills, a commitment to food safety, and the ability to manage a fast‑paced food service operation. Responsibilities Oversee all daily kitchen operations and food production. Lead, coach, and supervise kitchen staff. Prepare and serve high‑quality meals while maintaining consistency and efficiency. Ensure compliance with all food safety, sanitation, and health regulations. Manage food ordering, inventory, and cost control. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe kitchen environment. Ensure meals are prepared and served on schedule. Qualifications Minimum 2 years of Chef Manager or culinary management experience. Strong leadership and team management skills. Experience in high‑volume food service is preferred. Knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards. Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast‑paced environment. Excellent communication and organizational skills. Schedule Must be available to work up to 12‑hour shifts. Typical shift options include: 6:00 AM – 2:30 PM 6:00 AM – 6:00 PM, based on operational needs. Compensation $30.00 per hour Opportunity to work in a professional clinical research environment.
