About the Position

Job Title: Sonographer Profession: Sonographer Specialty: Ultrasound Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Evening Hours per Shift: 8 hours (1500-2330) Experience: 2 years License: Not required Certifications: Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (RDMS) certification required Registered Vascular Technologist (RVT) certification required Obstetric Certification (RDMS-OB/GYN) required Must-Have: Vascular experience preferred for Carotid, DVT, ABI/TBI vascular studies Familiarity with EMR and PACS systems, specifically EPIC and SECTRA Description: The department is equipped with 6 state-of-the-art ultrasound machines and 4 examination rooms. Imaging studies performed include routine/general examinations along with obstetric assessments. The average number of studies conducted daily is between 6 to 8 exams during an 8-hour period. Radiologist support is available on-site 24/7. The role involves no requirement for call or standby and does not include starting IVs. Personal scrubs are required; scrubs are provided when necessary in certain areas. This position works Wednesday through Sunday from 1500 to 2330. Weekend and holiday scheduling may be required. The department conducts specific orientations for new staff members. There is no floating or coverage in other areas. Scrub color/dress code follows department standards.
