Job Title: Welder Assembler Job Description

Join a dynamic team at a mid-size manufacturer specializing in fiberglass conduit and piping. As a Welder Assembler, you will be responsible for the disassembly, troubleshooting, repair, and reassembly of proprietary manufacturing equipment and machinery used in production. Additionally, you will weld manufacturing machinery using Mig/Flux/Stick processes on carbon steel, with aluminum welding experience being a plus. Collaborate closely with maintenance technicians, machinists, and designers, and embrace the variety each day brings by assisting wherever needed in the shop.

Responsibilities

• Disassemble, troubleshoot, repair, and reassemble proprietary manufacturing equipment and machinery.

• Weld manufacturing machinery/equipment using Mig/Flux/Stick processes on carbon steel.

• Collaborate with maintenance technicians, machinists, and designers.

• Assist with various tasks in the shop as needed.

Essential Skills

• 3+ years' welding experience (80% stick, 20% other processes).

• Experience with hand/power tools.

• Mechanical assembly skills.

• Electrical assembly experience.

• Disassembly experience.

• Hydraulic/pneumatic experience.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience welding aluminum is beneficial.

• Ability to work overtime and weekends as needed.

• Strong troubleshooting skills.

• Blueprint reading proficiency.

Work Environment

Work in a non-climate controlled facility with exposure to fiberglass, which can be itchy. The day shift runs from 5:30 am to 5:30 pm, Monday through Friday, with potential overtime and weekend work.

This is a Contract position based out of Spring, TX.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $28.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
