Registered Nurse - CVOR

Job Summary:
The Vascular OR RN will provide specialized perioperative nursing support for complex vascular procedures in a Level I Trauma Center. The role involves scrubbing and circulating during high-acuity surgical cases, ensuring patient safety and compliance with all clinical protocols.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare and position patients for vascular surgical procedures, ensuring optimal surgical site and equipment readiness.
• Scrub in and assist during complex vascular surgeries including TEVAR, EVAR, AAA, Thrombectomy, and Amputation procedures.
• Circulate intraoperatively, monitoring patient status and coordinating with surgical team to maintain workflow.
• Adhere to all safety, radiation, and infection control protocols, including maintaining a radiation badge.
• Document patient care accurately using EPIC charting system, following facility standards.
• Participate in on-call rotations and emergency response efforts during hurricane season, as needed.

Qualifications:

• Hold an active SC or multi-state RN license, with proof of application or active license at start.
• At least 2 years of vascular OR nursing experience, able to scrub and circulate complex cases.
• Current BLS and ACLS certification from AHA.
• Must possess a radiation badge or be able to obtain one through the agency.
• demonstrate strong surgical assistance skills and clinical judgment.
• Willing to work 3x12-hour day shifts and participate in on-call rotating schedule.
