Job Description

Join our Gold Beacon Award-winning Pediatric Cardiac Intensive Care Unit (PCICU) as a CVPICU RN. Our 29-bed unit specializes in the care of pediatric patients with congenital heart disease, providing a blend of cardiac surgical and medical diagnoses. The unit is a referral center for major pediatric cardiac surgeries in South Carolina and focuses on delivering complex supportive therapies.

Responsibilities

• Provide primary nursing care for pediatric patients with cardiac conditions.
• Monitor hemodynamic status and make appropriate adjustments to care plans.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive patient care.
• Participate in the management of patients requiring ECMO and CRRT.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum 2 years of Pediatric Cardiac ICU experience.
• Experience with ventricular assist devices preferred.
• Current SC or multi-state/compact RN license required.
• Certifications: PALS and BLS (AHA), ACLS preferred.
• Must be comfortable with a 1:1 or 1:2 patient ratio based on acuity.
