Registered Nurse - Ambulatory Care/Clinic/Outpatient

Job Description

Job Summary:
Provides comprehensive nursing care in an outpatient or ambulatory setting, ensuring patient safety and quality outcomes. Supervises clinical staff and collaborates with healthcare providers to coordinate treatment plans and deliver patient-centered care.

Responsibilities:

• Assess patient health status and gather relevant data to inform care planning.
• Develop and implement individualized care plans to achieve desired health outcomes.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, patients, and families to optimize care delivery.
• Monitor patient progress, evaluate treatment effectiveness, and adjust plans as necessary.
• Educate patients and families on health management, discharge instructions, and safety procedures.
• Delegate tasks appropriately to clinical staff and ensure compliance with clinical protocols.

Qualifications:

• Hold a current and valid RN license in the state of practice.
• Possess at least two years of recent outpatient or ambulatory care nursing experience.
• Maintain current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications.
• Demonstrate proficiency with electronic health record systems, preferably EPIC.
• Have experience with moderate sedation, pre-op, and PACU Phase II workflows.
• Be comfortable managing perioperative, outpatient surgery, and endoscopy patient care.
