Prep Cook — Part Time
Athenian Grill | 313 South Ashland Avenue, Lexington, KY
Athenian Grill is a family-owned Greek restaurant serving fresh, made-from-scratch food. We're hiring a part-time Prep Cook to help keep our kitchen stocked and ready for service.
What you'll do
- Wash, chop, and portion vegetables, meats, and other ingredients
- Prepare sauces, dressings, and marinades to recipe
- Stock and organize prep stations and coolers before and during service
- Label, date, and rotate product to keep everything fresh
- Keep the kitchen clean and sanitary and follow all food safety standards
- Support the line and other kitchen staff during busy periods
What we're looking for
- Reliable and on time — that matters more than experience
- Comfortable with knives and basic kitchen equipment
- Able to stand for the length of a shift and lift up to 40 lbs
- Willing to learn Greek cuisine and our recipes
- Prior prep or kitchen experience is a plus, not a requirement

- Part-time, flexible scheduling — days, evenings, and weekend availability helpful
- Starting pay: $15.00/hr
